The final six contestants of #ProjectFame9.0 were elated at making it to the finals lap of the race in the academy as they exchanged hugs with one another.
Before the day kicked off in the academy, the last six contestants said goodbye to Eli and Mirable.
Academy Day 50 in the #ProjectFame9.0 academy commenced with the final contestants electing a new Academy captain.
Kitay commenced the proceedings for electing a new captain by saying himself, Pere and Elizabeth were exempted from running for the role as they’ve been nominated before.
The remaining three, Winner, Dapo and Okiemute were asked to campaign for the position.
Winner said she’d make it a point of duty that they all embark on fasting and prayer session while Dapo said he’d make food available and ensure the academy is always clean.
Okiemute on her part said she has been able to work with every leader and that will come to bear if she’s elected leader.
At the end of the day, the mantle of leadership was passed to Winner. In her acceptance speech, she pleaded with the contestants to work with her so that her tenure can be successful.
After having fun electing the new leader for the house, it was time for serious business as Uncle Ben provided the contestants with the ‘Dance hall’ and ‘Reggae’ songs they will be performing this weekend.
He told them they all have to learn the lyrics before getting on stage as the competition has become stiffer.
As Uncle Ben announced the songs, he reminded them that even though they know the songs, they would be surprised at how much effort they have to put in to make the song sound good.
He also announced the duet songs the contestants will be performing.
The last activity of the day saw award winning singer, producer and songwriter, Cobhams who assisted the contestants in fine tuning their personal compositions.
