Brighton remain loyal to their promotion-winning squad, but need signings to stay in the Premier League, says their chief executive.
“Having got this far and got into this division we absolutely want to stay there,” Barber told SSN HQ. “We’ll back Chris [Hughton] as much as necessary to get the squad together for next season.
“Obviously there’s got to be a bit of balance with loyalty for the squad that have got us here, been so magnificent over not just this season but last as well, but obviously with one or two key reinforcements.
“We know that we’re stepping up a level, we know that competition is even tougher again, so we’ll be working with Chris to put together a squad for next season which gives us a chance to compete well in the Premier League.”
