West Ham manager Slaven Bilic has refused to rule out making a move for departing Chelsea defender John Terry this summer.

John Terry announced on Monday that his association with the west London outfit would be coming to an end after a glittering career at Stamford Bridge with a whole host of major honours to his name.

The 36-year-old began is career at West Ham before joining Chelsea as a 14-year-old and has been part of the fabric there ever since.

“He definitely has got at least a couple of years left with his quality and experience and leadership,” Bilic said.

“Whether that will be with West Ham or elsewhere I don’t know, we don’t think about that right now, but I don’t think it is the end of John Terry’s career. He’s going to do well.”

The Hammers have a enough centre halves on their books – Winston Reid, Angelo Ogbonna, Jose Fonte, James Collins and Reece Oxford – plus the likes of Declan Rice coming through from the PL2 side.
