Swansea City target Andy Yiadom won’t be sold on the cheap this summer, says Barnsley boss Paul Heckingbottom.
The 25 year-old former Barnet full-back has flourished at Oakwell since his arrival last summer, and made his international debut for Ghana earlier this year.
But after turning down a ‘derisory’ offer from Premier League new-boys Huddersfield, the Tykes’ chief says it will require a significantly improved bid to obtain the signature of Yiadom, with the Swans reportedly readying a £3m move.
“We have been clear that no-one is going to get him on the cheap and after being really clear about that, they (clubs) seem to have backed off,” he explained to the Yorkshire Post.
“So maybe that is what they were thinking; they could get real good value. And now they know what they would have to pay, they seem to have quietened down about it.”
