The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released the dates for Ekiti and Osun 2018 Governorship elections as said last week.
“The end-of-tenure governorship elections in Ekiti and Osun states will be conducted next year.
“In keeping with the commission’s tradition of giving all stakeholders ample time to prepare, the timetable and schedule of activities for the Ekiti and Osun governorship elections will be released on Thursday,” the Chairman of INEC, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, had said last week at a meeting with Resident Electoral Commissioners (RECs) in Abuja.
On Thursday, October 5, the commission said that the Ekiti State Governorship election will hold on July 14, 2018, while Osun State Governorship election will hold September 22, 2018.

INEC national commissioner, Solomon Soyebi, who disclosed the dates, said commencement date of campaigns for Ekiti Governorship election is April 15, 2018.
While that of Osun election is scheduled to start on June 24, 2018.
