Liverpool have now reportedly given the green light for Philippe Coutinho to leave the club in January.
Phillippe Coutinho was literally chased all summer by Barcelona during the summer, but it is believed that the Reds rejected three bids from the Catalan giants.
Widespread reports have claimed that the highest offer was in excess of £100m, but the Merseyside outfit stood firm and kept hold of the playmaker, who signed a new long-term contract in January.
According to Mundo Deportivo, despite fending off interest from Barcelona in the summer, Liverpool have struck an agreement with Coutinho that will allow him to leave Anfield for the Spanish club if a ‘reasonable’ offer is put forward.
