Music producer cum composer Adedayo Ajayi popularly known as DPLUS is set to release his EP December 2017. Themed “heart”, Ace Pianist intends to use this EP as a medium to pour out his heart musically as it cuts across different genres of music like Afro pop to afro house, neo soul, jazz and R n B.Talking about what inspired the name ‘heart’, He said, “All the tracks on the EP have been on my mind for years; now I just found a means to express them.”
On this project, DPLUS is working with talented musicians like Nosa, Frank Edwards, Masterkraft, IBK, Femi Leye and others. The multi talented musician hopes to use this EP to touch lives as he also allows listeners hear his heart out. “My motivation is God Almighty, good music and passion to always make something unique out of every musical instrument I play,”he said.
Born into music, his father being a singer and pianist, Adedayo combined schooling with working with several Nigerian artistes. So far he has worked with the likes of Lagbaja, Banky W, Humblesmith, Yinka Davies, Burna boy, Eben, MI, Capital F.E.M.I and Ben Ogbeiwi of MTN Project Fame.
DPLUS has performed at some of Nigeria’s biggest shows and even worldwide like the Nigeria Idols, GLO CAF Awards, LOUD AND CLEAR in Ghana, Cameroon and Lagos, MAMA Event in France, Festival of music and arts in South Africa and many more. He has also shared the same stage with Hugh Masekela, Psquare, Flavour, Capo Snoop etc where he performed alongside Lagbaja at several events in Nigeria and abroad.
