Pascal Chimbonda has signed for Northern League Division One team Washington.
“To bring somebody of Pascal’s calibre is brilliant for the club, the players, staff and town,” manager James Clark said.
The 38-year-old former Tottenham and QPR player has one France cap to his name.
Washington finished 19th in the Northern League Division One – level nine of the football pyramid – last season.
Pascal Chimbonda has also turned out for the likes of Wigan Athletic, Sunderland, Blackburn Rovers, Queens Park Rangers and Doncaster Rovers during a well-travelled career.
