Former Real Madrid midfielder, Xabi Alonso has backed Cristiano Ronaldo to deliver for Madrid, whenever the club needs him to.
The 2017 FIFA Best Men award winner has only managed one goal in eight La Liga appearances.
Madrid are currently ten points behind table topping, Barcelona, and Alonso believes Ronaldo still has the goods.
“I have no doubt that in the crucial moments of the season, Ronaldo will be there,” Alonso said.
“He was amazing at the end of last season and when the team needed him he was decisive.
“He’s as competitive and as motivated to be the best as he has always been.”
