Riyad Mahrez Continues To Remain Absent From Leicester City’s Training

Riyad Mahrez has once again missed Leicester City training today, as his dispute with the club shows no sign of ending.

The whole of the Leicester squad was given yesterday off, but they returned to training today – without their talismanic winger.

It means the Algeria international has missed four sessions and two matches as a result of his anger at failing to get a £60m move to Manchester City on Deadline Day.

It’s unclear whether Riyad Mahrez has been given permission from the club to miss this latest session, or whether he is still refusing to attend.

Mahrez is said to have a fragile mental state following the collapse of his dream move and the PFA have offered assistance in the matter.
Manager Claude Puel said on Friday that the Algerian had been given some time off to clear his head, and they would re-integrate him into the squad when it’s appropriate.
