Jurgen Klopp says Liverpool remain in contract talks with Emre Can and that “nothing is decided” with regards to the midfielder’s future.

Emre Can is out of contract at the end of the season and has refused to commit his future to the club, fuelling speculation he could leave in the summer, with Juventus reportedly linked with the Germany international.

Earlier this week, Can hit out at “false stories” which claimed he is demanding more than £200,000-a-week to extend his stay at Anfield, and Klopp insists talks remain ongoing between the two parties.

“It was £250,000,” Klopp joked. “What is the situation at the moment? Open. Nothing is decided. We are in talks with him and it is all good so far apart from he hasn’t yet signed a contract for us.”
