English side Arsenal certainly have left themselves with a very tough task to attend to next week Thursday as they let a lead slip to 10-man Atletico Madrid at the Emirates Stadium in their Europa League semi-final first leg.
Arsenal started brightly with Alexandre Lacazette having a couple of early chances. They received a boost when Atletico were reduced to 10 men after only 10 minutes.
Croatian defender Sime Vrsaljko, booked for an early challenge on Jack Wilshere, picked up a second yellow for a late tackle on Lacazette and was sent off.
Atletico boss Diego Simeone was furious at the decision and minutes later the fiery Argentinian was sent to the stands.

It took until the second-half for the Gunners to break the deadlock though, with Alexandre Lacazette heading home at the far post.
As they searched for a crucial second goal they were sucker-punched, as Antoine Griezmann found himself through on goal, converting at the second attempt to give Atletico a huge away goal.
