Popular US rapper, Snoop Dogg, in collaboration with Warren G and Top Chef’s Michael Voltaggio, during the weekend managed to set a new Guinness World Record for the biggest paradise cocktail ever – and it was made of gin and juice.
The trio broke the record at BottleRock Napa Valley, a three-day music, food and drink festival in Northern California, US.
The drink was a nod to Dogg’s 1995 Grammy Award for Best Rap Solo Performance nominated “Gin and Juice” track from his 1993 debut album Doggystyle, which went quadruple platinum.
Produced by Dr. Dre, the song peaked at number eight on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1994 and was nominated for a Grammy in 1995.

Meanwhile, a representative from the Guinness World Records was at the festival to award Snoop with an official plaque to recognise the achievement.
The cocktail contained 180 bottles of Hendricks gin, 154 bottles of apricot brandy and 38 3.78 litre jugs of orange juice, topped with a giant drinking straw, pink parasol and a garnish of pineapple and melon on a sword.

The commemorative plaque, presented to Snoop and company onstage Saturday by a Guinness World Records rep, explained the feat as follows:
“The largest cocktail was created by Snoop Dogg, Warren G, Michael Voltaggio, Kim Kaechele and Randall Coleman (All USA) in Napa, California, USA on 26 May 2018.”
