David Haye has compared his upcoming opponent, Tony Bellew to a chihuahua and says he is barking at a dog with a bigger bite.
The heavyweight rivals will collide next week Saturday and are looking to end a bitter feud that started when Bellew challenged Haye after his win over BJ Flores.
“He’s chased me around, I had no interest in fighting him, he’s the weight below me,” Haye told Soccer AM. “I’m a heavyweight looking at the heavyweight title.
“This yapping Chihuahua jumps out of the ring trying to attack me, constantly giving me beef.
“I hadn’t said anything – he walked over and said ‘you’re next’. Mate, you can’t do that to me.
“The Chihuahua and the pitbull will be in the cage, and we’re going to see what happens to the little Chihuahua.”
