Manchester United have won their first major title of the season, with Ibrahimovic scoring a brace to secure the EFL Cup for Mourinho’s men.
Manolo Gabbiadini had his opener incorrectly disallowed as offside, before Ibrahimovic opened the scoring with a free kick.
Lingard scored the second goal to put United two goals up, only for Gabbiadini to score either side of the break to give the saints hope of getting back into the match.
However, United must have been destined to lift the trophy, as Ibrahimovic headed in the winning goal with three minutes left to play.
United emerged victorious in the final of the EFL Cup, winning the encounter 3-1.
