Huddersfield are prepared to offer a club-record £11.5m for Montpellier‘s Steve Mounie, according to the Daily Mirror.
Montpellier accept they will have to sell Mounie, who scored 15 goals last season.
The French club need to generate funds and hope the interest in the 22-year-old Benin international will drive up his price.
Fulham have also made contact with Montpellier and it is understood at least two other sides are tracking Mounie
Manager David Wagner has already forked out a club-record fee for Porto striker Laurent Depoitre this summer.
