Get Familiar With the New School Highlife Royalty, Mr Flo

Like most new acts in the industry Mr Flo has been able to find his sound and it’s stuck with him.

Akinfolarin Akinbohun who goes by the moniker “Mr Flo” appeared first on 360NoBS sometime in 2011 with the song Call My Name, under Triple Bang Entertainment. He released several singles under the TBE imprint.

In 2015, the Ukraine-based act re-introduced himself to the scene as an independent artist with an Echo produced track “Hey Mama“. After the release, there was an interval without getting any new material from Flo.

Apparently, Mr Flo took a break from the music scene so has to enhance his musical prowess. And yes, the result of Flo’s hiatus was a fruitful one, as he returned with the fine-tune “Lolade” where he showed great finesse and also introduced us to the high life Mr Flo that is here to stay.

The song, Lolade was released sometime in the 3rd quarter of 2016. When asked about Lolade, Flo elaborated that “it’s basically about a girl who has a heavy crush on a guy but yet too shy to admit even when the feeling is expressed all over her face“.

Championing the high-life genre and successfully fusing it with the new-age sounds, Mr Flo or Hitmaster then solidified his place technique with the release of the S’Bling produced vibey tune “Tey Tey” earlier in 2017. The release of Tey Tey classified him as a sovereign, a high-life Royalty.

According to Flo, the song is a motif of his position in life, as a real one.

Clearly, Mr Flo who’s a graduate of International Economics and also an MSc Degree holder puts nothing above his love for the art called music.
