It would be recalled, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, had said that the “President Buhari will transit through London on his way back to the country”.

He further told newsmen that the president is expected to spend only four days in London after which he will return to Nigeria.

The presidential spokesman however did not disclose the reason for the UK visit, fuelling the speculation that the trip might be health-related.

In this year alone, Buhari has spent at least 153 days receiving medical treatment in London.
