He has impressed in the MLS and that prompted interest from Saint-Etienne.

When asked about receiving an offer from the Ligue 1 side, Vieira told RMC: “It’s true, but I considered that it was not the right time, because I am very happy at my club.”

“I have a good relationship with the directors of Saint-Etienne.”
Vieira finished his playing career with a season-long spell at Manchester City, with whom he accepted a coaching role upon retirement.

Patrick Vieira took charge of the club’s reserve team in 2013 before moving to the United States to take control of New York City, who are owned by the same investment group that owns Man City.
