Chelsea forward Alvaro Morata says it’s a pleasure that he is missed at Real Madrid.
Alvaro Morata left the Bernabeu for the second time earlier this year and he has hit the ground running at Stamford Bridge, scoring 10 goals in 20 outings.
Meanwhile, his former club have struggled in front of goal this term, with many suggesting they should have kept hold of the Spain international.
Speaking to TVE, Morata said: “I don’t know if they (Madrid) miss me or not, and it’s a pleasure that they say it. I wish they didn’t have to say it because that would mean that things are going well [for Madrid].”
The 25-year-old also hinted that financial concerns didn’t influence his decision to move to Chelsea.
When asked if he is happy in London, he said: “Knowing that, for each match, you have real options of playing if you train well, that you are going to play…
“If I had searched for things like money or the city [to live in] I would have stayed at home, that had everything.”
