Despite of Real Madrid only manage to win UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup, personallyCristiano Ronaldo‘s overall performance was decent return for the current holder of FIFA Ballon d’Or.

Cristiano Ronaldo netted sixty-one goals in total 54 appearances for Real Madrid in 2015, however the only regret the Portuguese International is not winning any major trophy last season, as they failed to defend their Champions League crown and missing out on the La-Liga title and Copa-Del Rey.

      The Real Madrid star has scored in the 11 games so far and has failed to do so in the same number of appearances, while the big concern for the  Cristiano Ronaldo this season is that he failed to score against the bigger oppositions, which include Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, PSG,  Sevilla, Athletic Bilbao and Villarreal. While he has scored against Espanyol, Shakhtar Donetsk, , Malmo, twice, and most recently, Rayo Vallecano.

FIFA Ballon d’Or nomination

The Portuguese International, who has named  been FIFA Player of the year for last two years, could make it to three years in the row as he has been nominated once again along with his long term competitor Lionel Messi and new entry Neymar.

Golden Shoe

One front Cristiano Ronaldo has beaten his rivals is for the golden shoe award, after scoring 48 league goals in 35 La-Liga appearances and become the only player in the history of football to won the golden shoe for the record fourth times. In his acceptance speech former Manchester United star said.

“I never planned on winning four times,” Ronaldo said. “Maybe one or two yes but never four.

“I always want more. I know I am the only one to have four but I want more.

“That implies winning trophies with the world’s greatest club. This year will be no different and we want to win La Liga, the Cup and the Champions League. I hope we see each other again next year.”
